Life is Strange 2 review - a bold, mature sequel, which is a different kind of animal
My brother is a guardian.
This story of two brothers is an intimate and successful return for a studio that would like to deal with honest characters with difficult questions.
When Life is Strange 2 started his first episode, the differences seemed to define this. It was a roadtrip game in which the first Life is Strange was focused on a particular place. It showed a far smaller, recurring occupation without the well-known faces that Arcadia Bay had helped. And it was two brothers whose relationship was determined by an age difference and special skills. It was a lonely experience that was a bit more difficult to cope with a central relationship, which sometimes felt more likely to work as a friendship. Ultimately, each of these differences has helped that Life is Strange 2 as a somewhat unique, true and necessary outlines.

Sean Diaz and his younger brother Daniel are forced to run away from home and to escape the law after a tragedy has left her in the world alone. We meet you in a brief moment of normality - part of a family and a group of friends who do not differ from those who were seen in the first life. And then everything decomposes.
The fraternal band that explores the game is a slower burning compared to the resurgence of a re-connection under old friends or the spark of a romance that was seen in earlier seasons. Instead, the heart of Life is Strange 2 is that these two boys on the street are always better understanding what they mean each other. It is a proximity that has been experienced on long days at trekking through the forest and long nights at the campfire. It s the lasting need to face up on your journey, the bigotry that will endure you by profiling the breeds, the new friends who help you achieve your goal. There are Daniel s special forces as a metaphor for a volatile child that deals with loss. And above all, it is the way you react as teenagers Sean on all these things - which in turn influences how the younger Daniel reacts.
Life is Strange 2 is a sometimes meaningful adventure, which has used a considerable time both in the game and in real life (in reality, developers Dontnod seems to have already pointed out how the next episodic game will continue in a distance of a shorter period ). But every stopover on his way has added Sean and Daniel s relationship something - a sense of family, friendship, danger and the hard realities of adult life - which are crucially to feel where the couple lands. And yes, it can certainly feel hard. It is a journey full of setbacks and prejudices that drives this young drama of adults with the super forces sometimes to the mud of the here and now - something that the original life is strange, as dark it was seemed to be somehow away . Because of all this is Life Is Strange 2 a journey that I would recommend to anyone. SEANS shoes are just a few games, while their decisions ultimately take a complex relationship with Daniel, which feels unprecedented in the previous series or elsewhere in their nuance.
We have a difficult situation, Daniel and my version of Sean, somewhere in the third episode. I think that s what you should. Everything I had to tell him - or not - he pushed a bit on each time. This average episode, perhaps my favorite of the season, offers a longer stay next to the best minor characters of the season. (For those who have fallen in love with Life s Strange, because of the great occupation in Arcadia Bay, the Game Sean and Daniel gives the opportunity to take a break in addition to the next approach of continuation.) In this episode, the player can get up completely Sean and focus his own motivations. In this way it becomes clear how sensitively the bond between the brothers is. It is a necessary narratitive step that comes exactly at the right time in its history. And for my Sean, who had the responsibility for Daniel after several months, it was the moment I realized that I had to do better.
From the beginning, the life of the long telegraphed endpoint of Strange 2 - the dream to jump down the border to Mexico - a fantastic style of freedom. It is a means to escape the pursuers of Sean and Daniel, an idyllic, promised place where they can connect again with the legacy of their father. In reality it is a threatening abyss. What happens when you reach it plays in a number of different circumstances that feel more suitable for your own journey overall than the original life. I felt the loss of these two characters as people I had supported last year when checking in and the leadership. I had the feeling that I had done everything like Sean to help Daniel - and the history of the brothers ended in a place that met for them and the path of the truth suggested by me. It was nice as long as it took.
