Stardew Valley: How to get hard wood

Stardew Valley presents a lot of different supplies and resources that you will need to create things within the game. Not to mention that they are how you can do some additional currencies. You will find a lot of wood wherever you cut, but what about that red wood known as hard wood? What gives that? It seems that you will need a small amount to manufacture certain things, so it should not be very common.

How to get hard wood at Stardew Valley

You are right in those assumptions. To get hard wood, you must cut the trunks of fallen trees, giant stumps or large mahogany trees.

The best place to find them is Secret Woods in the northwest corner of Cindersap Forest. Six of the big stumps appear here every day, even if they were cut the day before, which means you have an endless hard wood supply in Stardew Valley.

However, to get here, you must cut the trunk that is just above the magician tower, which is shown in the image below, which requires having a steel ax for cutting.

How

Another great place to find stumps is in the land of its farm and in the forest south of Marnie’s Farm. Those in particular will continue to reappear and get two hard wood for each one that cuts. However, keep in mind that the stumps on their farm will not reappear once they have cut them.

However, do not hurry to do this. To damage them, you must update to a copper ax (or better) of the blacksmith.

Keep in mind that this will only damage normal trees and large stumps. The trunks require a steel ax or better.
