A Skyrim board game is en route and Elder Scrolls 6 could be announced soon
It s official; After dominating the Elder Scrolls range since its initial release in 2011 - a complete decade ago in November - Skyrim officially gets its own board game.
For the moment, we do not know anything about the gameplay, except for the game will be a cooperative board game for 1 to 4 players. It remains to be seen whether it will follow the plot of the game or will take place simply in the same region. My intuition? You will have to collect dragon cries in Skyrim to overcome Alduin.
It is also possible - but not confirmed - that other extension packs can bring action into other regions of Tamriel, such as Elweyr or the Summerset Islands.
The game is part of the current partnership between Bethesda and board game publishers and RPG Modiphius, but the game still uses participatory funding to achieve its goals. You can visit the gamefound page of the game to register for development updates, and an overview will be available on Tabletop Simulator before it is funded.
In other news from Elder Scrolls, rumors circulate that we should get a complete revelation for Elder Scrolls 6 in the coming days. The game was initially announced in 2018. We have not heard anything else since, but according to the industry initiate, Jeff Grubb, Microsoft retains revelation until the acquisition of the parent company of Bethesda, Zenimax, concluded. Another insider, Paul Thurot, says Microsoft will organize a What s New in Gaming event on March 23rd. Could both be related? If so, it is possible that we can see more about the game very soon.
